We took off the front rail of Mia's crib so now she sleeps in a "big girl bed"! So far so good. Its been 2 nights and 3naps and she is actually staying in bed and sleeping through the night!
Trying out the new bed for the first time.
The girls cuddling in Mia's "new" bed. They are really starting to have fun together the past couple of weeks!
We had Lanie's first birthday party for her friends in the neighborhood on Sunday. She had a cold and wasnt much up for partying. She didnt even dig into her cake much. We are having another party with our families in Chicago this weekend. Santa also made a surprise appearance at the party (none other than our sitter's husband).
Dig In!
How many kids does it take to unwrap a present???
Mia was not a big fan of Santa. She did tell him what she wanted but was sure to keep her distance!
This was about as good as it got for poor old Santa!
Our family has grown, and fast! Mia Izabela was born in Guatemala on August 16, 2005 and joined our family on February 14, 2006. Her biological sister Elena Maria (Lanie) was born on December 13, 2006 and came home on August 30, 2007. Our house has gone from very quiet to very busy in 18 short months but we love it!
My blog was stylized at Blogs for a Cause. Check out this site! The girl who stylized the blog is using the money she raises to go on a humanatarian trip and support different charities.
